Add a memory

From your assistant, from the app, or by import — and what happens right after you save.

From your assistant

Tell it in plain language: "Remember that…". Assistants store durable facts as you reveal them — preferences, people, accounts, decisions — and skip chit-chat. They won't store passwords or card numbers unless you explicitly ask. In ChatGPT and Codex, JustOnce refuses passwords, PINs and card, bank or ID numbers outright; add those in the app instead.

In the app

Press n anywhere, or click + at the top of Home. On Write a note, give the memory a title and write it out; a category, tags and a reminder are optional. Click Save memory. Each 1,000 words counts as one memory against your allowance.

In bulk

Paste a list into your assistant and ask it to import ("save these as separate memories"), or use the Import tool in Settings → Billing → Import your memories. Each item is classified and encrypted exactly like a single memory. See Import memories from ChatGPT, Claude or a document.

What happens after you save

  1. The text is encrypted at rest under a key issued for its space.

  2. Within moments JustOnce assigns a category and a title, and extracts entities: people, organisations, places, dates, amounts, account numbers.

  3. Dates it finds — renewals, expiries, appointments — appear on your Calendar, and anything that looks like a deadline shows as a to-do on the memory.

  4. It becomes searchable from every connected assistant. (Very occasionally indexing is delayed by a few minutes — if a brand-new memory isn't found, try again shortly.)

Every memory you add counts against your monthly allowance; recall never does. See What counts against your allowance.
