Find anything: search and recall

Search results in the app

JustOnce searches by meaning. "What's my landlord's number?" finds the memory that says "Priya Nair, 0400 000 111" even though the word landlord may not appear in it.

In the app

  • Press Ctrl/Cmd + K anywhere to open search, or type in the search box on Home.

  • Results show the matching memory with a snippet or its category; click through for the full record.

  • To browse instead, use the Categories view on Home, or the filter menu beside the search box to show a shared space, memories that need review, or archived ones.

Through your assistant

Just ask. The assistant calls search_memories (or get_context for a broad topic) before answering anything that could depend on what you've told it. Each hit carries an assertable verdict — whether the memory is trustworthy enough to state as fact — and a query fit score for this particular question. A weak match is offered as a lead to check, not as the answer. See Confidence, conflicts and "assertable".

In ChatGPT and Codex, get_context isn't offered, and memories filed under credentials, identity, health or finance (or not yet confidently filed) are withheld from results. See How memories are organised: the 18 categories.

Shared memories

Search also reaches memories other people shared into your active spaces, clearly attributed to whoever shared them. Broad topic context (get_context) covers your own vault only.

Search is free

Recall and search are unmetered on every plan — ask as often as you like.
