Forward an email; your key reads it; memories appear

Every paid account can have a private forwarding address of the form vault-…@ingest.justonce.ai. Forward a booking confirmation, a bill, a contract, and it becomes memories — with attachments kept as documents.

Set-up (once)

  1. Open Settings → Email forwarding.

  2. Add your own AI key — Anthropic, OpenAI or Google — and pick a model. The key is encrypted under your account key; only its last four characters are ever shown again.

  3. Copy your forwarding address (it appears once your key is saved). Add it to your address book as "JustOnce".

Using it

Forward from any mail client. Your key reads the message, extracts the facts and files them like any other memory. Text attachments are read directly and PDFs and images are read with your key; Word and Excel attachments are kept as documents but not read. Every attachment is stored encrypted and attached to the main memory the email produced.

Good to know

  • Bring-your-own-key means the reading happens under your provider account and its terms. JustOnce uses your key only to read what you send it: forwarded mail, and PDFs or images an assistant saves without a transcription.

  • Forwarded mail doesn't count against your plan's memories or pages — your own key pays for the reading.

  • The address is private. If it leaks, click Regenerate address — the old one stops working immediately.

  • Mail to an address that doesn't exist, or to an account with no key configured, is dropped — nothing is stored.

  • An email can carry up to 10 attachments; one with more isn't processed.

  • Free accounts don't have a forwarding address; upgrading to a paid plan turns it on.
