Is the connection live? Open Connections in the app. An AI tool appears there after its first call to JustOnce, and shows Active if it has been used in the last 14 days. If it isn't listed at all, it never finished connecting — repeat the setup for that tool (see How connecting works).
Is it the right account? If you have two JustOnce accounts (say, a work and a personal email), the tool may be connected to the other one. Your account's email is at the bottom of the sidebar.
Is JustOnce switched on in this chat? Claude and ChatGPT let you turn connectors on and off per conversation. Make sure JustOnce is on.
Did it actually search? Ask it directly: "Search my JustOnce memories for insurance." If it answers without calling the tool, it didn't look.
Using ChatGPT or Codex? They never show memories filed under credentials, identity, health or finance, memories that hold a password, card or ID number, or memories JustOnce hasn't confidently filed yet. ChatGPT is told how many were held back. They also don't get your core profile, topic context or the fact graph. Open those memories in the app, or use another AI tool such as Claude, Cursor or VS Code.
Just added? A brand-new memory can take a minute or two to become searchable. Try again shortly.
Archived? Archived memories are hidden from AI tools. Restore it in the app.
Shared, not yours? Memories in a shared space are found by search, but topic context and your core profile only cover your own vault. Ask your AI tool to read the space by name.
Needs signing in again? Some tools report "needs authentication" after a while. Re-authenticate in the tool (Claude Code:
/mcp→ justonce → Authenticate). Forget on the Connections page only tidies the list; it doesn't sign a tool out. To disconnect a tool, remove JustOnce in that tool's own settings.
If none of that helps, tell us which AI tool, roughly when, and what you asked — via Help & support in the app.
