Save your first memory

Three ways to add a memory: tell your assistant, type it in the app, or upload a document.

From your assistant

Once connected, just say it: "Remember that our home insurance is with Harbour Mutual, policy HM-4471902, renews 14 October." The assistant calls JustOnce's add_memory tool and confirms. You don't need to phrase it any particular way — write it the way you'd tell a person.

In ChatGPT and Codex, JustOnce won't save a password, PIN, card, bank or ID number. Add those in the app instead.

In the app

  1. Press n anywhere, or use the + button on Home.

  2. Give it a title, then type or paste the fact. One memory holds up to 1,000 words; anything longer is split automatically and counts as more than one memory.

  3. Save. Within a moment JustOnce classifies it into one of 18 categories, pulls out the people, places, dates and amounts, and makes it searchable.

From a document or email

Upload a text file on the Documents page, or forward an email to your private vault address (paid plans, with your own AI key). Both distil into memories with the original kept. See Documents & email.

What makes a good memory

  • Self-contained. "The excess is $750" is weak; "Our Harbour Mutual home policy excess is $750" is strong.

  • One fact, or one tight cluster. A policy number, insurer and renewal date belong together; your GP's details are a separate memory.

  • Dates as dates. "Renews 14 October 2026" lets your assistant answer "when does it renew?" and "what was true in March?".
